APOLOGIES: Matt
PLAYDAY
This proved very successful and the club made a profit, after expenses, of £300.
There was some concern over the misunderstanding with the site owner and the amount of fees he expected for the weekend. It was suggested for future events at the quarry fees are negotiated and then a simple contract agreed and signed by both parties to avoid further confusion.
SITE DIRECTIONS AND CANES
Dave is to manufacture some site direction arrows from some old orange glass fibre panels. Richard will purchase another 50 canes and sort the section canes and those used for the TYRO.
WEBSITE
Dave has spoken to Matt who is finding his personal commitments are impacting on his ability to run the site as he would wish. Richard agreed to look at an alternate online provider and into producing a new website for next year. Facebook still remains a popular way of communicating information.
TYRO / RTV
There was a lengthy discussion about this item with contributions from all members. It was apparent the club has moved direction over a period of years. This has seen  a change from members competing at RTV level to now competing at CCV level, often with purpose made vehicles. The feeling was that nearly all members in classes one and two would want to complete set sections with some gate splits. RTV motors are often unable to compete at this level of difficulty, apart from setting a completely different RTV sections it was considered difficult to accommodate these motors. The committee wanted the club to try and run trials for all members, irrespective of ability or motor type. At the next trial, at Danny’s, sections will be set to try and overcome these problems.
The TYRO continues to prove popular and successful although it was noted it makes the club very little money.
JVT
This has now been resolved as it remains stored at Micks.
SAFE GUARDING POLICY
The club is intending to adopt the generic policy produced by the MSA. Dave has a contact number for the Safe Guarding Officer for the MSA.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
These have been checked and are in working order. The club now has four extinguishers.
CHRISTMAS MEAL & AWARDS EVENING
The date and venue (December 3rd - Bull in Thorn) were confirmed again. It was agreed to discuss whether the cost, per person, could be subsided through profits made from trials.
NEXT YEAR –EVENTS & DATES
There is some concern over the availability of sites for next year. The quarry is easily accessible but is very tight and restricted. Whether we can use Rob’s site again seems to be doubtful. Richard offered to advertise for land in the Farmers’ Guardian. A full calendar will be agreed at the next meeting.
AOB
There was no other notified business
