We
have received the following invite from Spondon Off Road Club, we
are just waiting for confirmation on
the
fire extinguishers. the event does clash with one of our trials but
this may not affect those of you that don't trial.
Dear Club Chairman / Events
Secretary,
In recent years many off
roading clubs have formed in the Midlands with good success and
enjoyment. But what we have noticed is that these clubs rarely
interact on any kind of level. Yet forums on Diff lock and other
such sites see hundreds of off roaders talking together everyday
regardless of what club they are in and seem to enjoy sharing there
knowledge and experience. With this in mind we thought we would try
and get all the Midland clubs together for an 'inter club
competition', with the emphasis on fun rather than winning or
losing. We will be able to cater for all types of vehicles from the
heavily modified to the shiny family 4x4 and still make it a level
playing field so anyone could win. There will also be special stages
to take part in. At the end of the day two trophy’s will be awarded
for most points scored and most extreme punches collected. This
event will comply with M.S.A rules and will be well marshalled. We
hope this will be a catalyst for annual events from all the Midland
clubs and will bring the off road community close together. This way
instead of just talking about it on the web we can actual experience
it together. The event will be held at Shottle near Belper on the 15th
June 2008. Driving will start at 9am, with scrutineering from 8am.
Please give this event your consideration as your support will be
vital to making this inter club event successful.
Fees have yet to be confirmed
for entry, but it is likely to be around £25 per vehicle.
Entries are welcome from owners of
trailered vehicles, subject to minimum scrutineering
